Safety & Age Verification
Animecord is built for adults, and we take that seriously. Every photo uploaded to our image tools is age-checked by AI and reviewed by a person, on top of seven other layers of protection — so Animecord stays clean for everyone.
Our commitment
Animecord has zero tolerance for any content that sexualises minors — real or fictional, photo or drawing, whatever age a character is claimed to be. We also don't allow sexual images of real people without their consent. We'd rather block a borderline image than risk a single one slipping through, and we review every alert by hand.
Layers of protection
No single check is perfect, so Animecord stacks several. Each one catches what another might miss.
1. 18+ confirmation before first use
Before anyone can use an image tool or roleplay, they have to confirm they're 18 or older, that they'll only upload photos of themselves or of adults who gave permission, and that they won't create sexual images of real people or anything depicting minors — drawn characters included. Anyone who says they're under 18 can't continue.
2. Age-restricted channels only
Every generation and photo command only runs inside a Discord channel marked age-restricted, which Discord only opens to people who confirm they're 18+. Server admins can't point the bot at a normal channel, and these commands don't work in DMs.
3. Prompt filtering with automatic bans
Every prompt is checked before anything is generated. Prompts involving minors or other banned content are refused and recorded against the account. 3 critical violations, or 5 violations in total, mean an automatic permanent ban.
4. AI age check on every uploaded photo
Every photo uploaded to /image-edit, /image-edit-premium, /faceswap, /faceswap-premium and /animate is scanned by an AI age estimator. If the first estimator can't read the image, a second, independent one takes over.
5. Human review within moments
When a face looks under age, the Animecord team is alerted instantly with the upload, the estimate and the result it produced. A person — not just an algorithm — decides, and can delete the result from Discord with one click, even if it's still being generated.
6. Community reporting
Anyone can report an Animecord image straight from Discord (right-click the message → Apps → Report to Animecord) or on our report page. Reports go straight to the team, who can remove the image and ban the account from the same report.
7. Human verification for free commands
Free commands need a quick human-verification step, and likely duplicate accounts are flagged to the team — so a ban isn't undone by simply making a new account.
8. AI moderation in roleplay
Every message sent in AI roleplay is checked by an AI moderator before it reaches the character, with strikes, timeouts and bans for anything involving minors. See the roleplay rules.
How the upload age check works

You run an image command with a photo, exactly as usual.
- STEP 2It runs normally
Your request is processed straight away — the check never slows it down.
- STEP 3Age is estimated
In the background, every face in the photo is given an estimated age by our AI age checkers.
- STEP 4Flagged → reviewed
If anyone looks under 18, the team is alerted at once and reviews it by hand.
- STEP 5Removed + banned
Confirmed violations are deleted from Discord and the account is permanently banned.
Users are told about the check right in Discord. At the start of an image command you'll see this reminder, at most once every 24 hours:

Not sure about a photo? Run /check-age in Discord and attach it. Animecord estimates the age of every face it finds and tells you privately — only you can see the result — before you use it in an image command.
- 🟢 Looks 18+ — good to go.
- 🟡 Borderline — estimated close to 18. It may be flagged for review; consider another image.
- 🔴 Looks under 18 — don't use it.
- Free for everyone · 20 checks a day · PNG, JPEG or WebP up to 10MB. Results are AI estimates, and the image commands use an additional checker, so results can differ.
What happens to violations
- The image and every result made from it are deleted from Discord.
- The account is permanently banned from the whole bot — image tools, video and roleplay.
- Repeat or critical prompt violations trigger an automatic ban, no review needed.
- Whole servers that keep breaking the rules can be banned too.
- Content that sexualises minors may be reported to Discord and the relevant authorities.
The legal side
- Animecord is for adults only. By using it you agree to our Terms of Service, including the 18+ requirement.
- Only upload photos of yourself, or of adults who have given you permission. Never upload photos of minors.
- Making sexual or nude images of a real person without their consent is illegal in many countries. Reported non-consensual intimate images are removed within 48 hours, as laws such as the US TAKE IT DOWN Act require.
- We cooperate with Discord and with law enforcement on child-safety matters.
- Animecord follows Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, in addition to our own rules.
Questions
Does the age check slow my command down?
No. Your command runs exactly as before; the check happens alongside it in the background.
What if an adult gets flagged by mistake?
AI age estimates are roughly ±5 years, so we deliberately flag on the cautious side and a person reviews every flag. Adults who followed the rules aren't penalised. If you think a decision was wrong, ask in our support server.
Does it work on anime and drawn characters?
The age checkers are built for real faces and work best on photos. They also try drawn and 3D characters, but ages there are less reliable — which is why the rules ban anything depicting minors whether it’s a photo or a drawing, and why prompts are filtered too.
Do you keep my photo?
No. For the check, your image is read in memory and sent to our age-estimation providers only to get the estimate — we don't store a copy. If a photo is flagged, the team's alert links to the original upload on Discord rather than re-posting it. See our Privacy Policy.
Can I turn the check off?
No. Every upload to the image tools is checked. You’ll see a short reminder about it at most once every 24 hours.

AI age estimates can be wrong, which is why every flag is reviewed by a person. These protections work together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Roleplay Rules. We may update this page as our safety tools improve.
